A good built-in looks like it came with the house. It fits the wall exactly, lines up with the trim around it, and holds what you put on it for decades without the shelves bowing. A bad one looks like furniture pushed against a wall.
We build built-ins on site, in your home, so they fit the room you actually have: walls that are not quite plumb, floors that are not quite level, and a window casing that sits a half inch off from the drawing. Bookcases flanking a fireplace, a window seat with storage underneath, a mudroom bench with hooks and cubbies, a media wall, or simple floating shelves done right.
If you are working with an interior designer, we build to their elevations. If you are not, we sketch it with you, confirm the dimensions on site, and put a written scope in front of you before we cut anything.

Common questions
Are your built-ins made on site or in a shop?
On site. We build and fit them in your home so they conform to your actual walls, floors, and trim. That is what makes a built-in look original to the house instead of added later.
How do you keep long shelves from sagging?
Shelf sag comes down to the span, the material, and the load. We size the span and thickness for what the shelf will hold, add a face frame or a hidden support where a long shelf needs it, and avoid the thin, wide shelves that bow under a row of books.
Can you build to my interior designer's drawings?
Yes. We review the elevations and selections, confirm the dimensions on site, flag anything the room will not allow, and build to the plan.
Paint-grade or stain-grade?
Both are possible. Painted built-ins are the most common and let us use stable materials that stay flat. Stain-grade uses real hardwood throughout and takes more material and more careful work. We walk you through the tradeoff during the consultation.
What does a built-in cost?
It depends on the size, the materials, doors and drawers versus open shelves, and the finish. Rather than guess at a number sight unseen, we measure the space and give you a written scope and price so you can decide with the full picture.
